Husband was wrapping gifts for our son who lives in another town. We went to visit and dropped gifts for him. I had given him a Tesco bag with a couple table ware items and some Pyjamas in there which I’d picked up with my Tesco shop. I asked him to wrap them too.

He did that and off we went to deliver these and other presents for son.

two days after I’m hunting for my Scent Boosters to wash the Throws. No where to be seen. Realised they were in bag I gave to husband. Asked him where they were. HE WRAPPED THEM!!!

So son is getting a tub of Fairy for Christmas. WTAF!! Surely it was obvious not to wrap these?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

rainbowunicorn22 · 18/12/2025 16:51

typical husband! I expect your son just thought you were topping up his laundry supplies!

lazyarse123 · 18/12/2025 16:52

😂😂😂 well at least he did as he was asked.

Irisilume · 18/12/2025 16:54

That's hilarious. Why don't you just tell your son what happened? He'll probably be amused too

choccyfountain · 18/12/2025 16:56

I would be a bit peeved common sense wasn't present. Maybe husband thought you was trying to insinuate something to your son! 😂 I think I'd take it with a pinch of salt though but you're in your every right to be like 'come on, seriously??' 🫣 x

User478 · 18/12/2025 16:56

Get DH his own for Christmas, wrap them really fancily.

Person93369 · 18/12/2025 17:00

He has the cheek to say it’s my fault for not taking they out of the bag first. Honest to god. This man is a company director! He’s not an idiot!

In my experience plenty of company directors are idiots

(Just a wee joke I’m sure your husband is very intelligent when he’s at work )

Electricsausages · 18/12/2025 17:12

😂😂😂

twiddleit · 18/12/2025 17:16

I would hope my DH would query this but tbh I’m not certain he would…

BunnyLake · 18/12/2025 17:25

Well at least it wasn’t a box of Tampax.

Taupeness · 18/12/2025 17:27

Your poor son is probably going to think you're making some kind of point by giving him laundry supplies for Xmas 😆

Screamingabdabz · 18/12/2025 17:35

Maybe he can’t stand the smell of them and wanted to hide them. Every time I order something on vinted and people have used them they make me want to vom.

Sahara123 · 18/12/2025 17:49

Oh that’s fantastic!
I mean some people do joke presents but that’s pushing it a bit !

Yes, one of each fragrance, arranged nicely in a hamper!

Curiousrobin · 18/12/2025 18:03

This is funny, especially as this is the sort of thing my husband would do. I don't think it matters how intelligent a man is, they need strict step by step instructions to do things at home!

fruitfly3 · 18/12/2025 18:08

My husband would 100% do this

MumoftwoNC · 18/12/2025 18:11

Haha this is the real life version of my dh's favourite joke

"Buy a loaf of bread. If they have eggs, get a dozen."

Your dh would buy the 12 loaves of bread

ilovepixie · 18/12/2025 18:24

Brilliant!

Katemax82 · 18/12/2025 18:29

My husband would do this. He seldom takes our son to school as he's often working but did a week ago. I put my son's water bottle and lunch bag in a black plastic box in my car with a few tea towels in so the condensation can be wiped off the bottle and his lunch things are kept together. My husband tried handing the black box to my son's 1:1, when it actually stays in the car

PinkElephants356 · 18/12/2025 19:50

Hilarious!😂 Thank you you’ve really cheered up my day!
