To think a man’s proximity to beautiful or accomplished women makes other women more drawn to him?

I’ve noticed that men who are surrounded by beautiful, accomplished or confident women often get more attention from other women, even if the man himself is pretty average.
Is it a kind of “social proof” effect? Like if she rates him, maybe he’s worth a second look?
And sometimes I wonder if there’s even a sapphic aspect, like part of the attraction is actually directed at the women around him, not just him.

AIBU to think some of the appeal of certain men is really about the women they’re associated with?

I am sure it's actually down to how rich they are.

There is an episode of Seinfeld about just this!!!! 😂😂

I do think this is true to some degree, there are some celebrity men I think must be lovely simply because I admire their wives. Makes no sense really, had never heard of social proof but can totally see it!

aparently in some circles its considered a thing, like if a woman wants a person aparenetly if they know someone else wants them too its ment to make the person seem more intriguing not sure how accurate it is
