As the title really. How much has your Christmas food shop cost this year, and how long do you think it will last?

Mines in the region of £600 with meat and alcohol and I'm guessing just over a week. Bloody cost of living!!

We are eating out in Christmas Eve as our “dinner” and then doing a buffet for Christmas Day for 6, I’m doing a charcuterie board, quiches, breads and pate and cold meats may se if there are any turkey crowns going cheap on Christmas Eve, and cook that too and then later in the day I’ll swop that out for sweet treats and pop it all on the table so everyone can help themselves.

in answer I have budgeted £200 for the shop at Aldi to last Christmas Day and Boxing Day with some wine.

Our festive meal out will be about £350, not many of us are drinking as we have to drive to the venue, saves some money!

Including alcohol, which I don’t usually buy, an additional £150 I think. That’s hosting two adult DC for a week.

Edited to add we are eating out Christmas Eve which will be an additional £100

Ours is about £450 this year. That’s for 5 people over the 3 days, although a lot of it (like the alcohol and chocolate) will last longer. If I were to guess I’d say about £100 booze, £150 festive food order, £100 on treat foods, choc etc and the rest the actual veg etc.

€100 for 2 adults for Xmas Eve, day and St Stephen's Day.
Mainly on imported foods as we live in Spain ( & Im not doing Xmas without Kerrygold butter and white pudding. 😉)

Nothing extra because I bought duck on offer and put it in the freezer. I am braving Tesco tomorrow but it will probably be a cheap shop because I will get fed up half way round and go home. There's only two of us and I just can't be bothered. I did think earlier, maybe I will just get pizza 🙂

We've spent £150 in M&S for Xmas day buffet. It feels utterly ridiculous to spend so much, but I'm really looking forward to it. Will be 4 adults 1 teen and a 3 year old. No alcohol.

My delivery is coming in at around £260 at the moment but I still need to tweak it before cut off on Saturday. That’ll feed 4 of us (2 adults and 12 and 9yo DSs) plus cats from 22-25th Dec inclusive. We’re going away on Boxing Day so don’t need to factor that in.

Weekly is normally around €120
So I would think around the same.

Its just a Sunday dinner.

The cakes and puddings were made a couple of weeks ago.

The child is making cheese cake.

It will depend on how many people we are entertaining. This year there are 6 of us so our shop is currently at £150 (it’s usually £100 a week so extra £50 for Christmassy stuff)
it’s been more when we have had more people over but the most I’ve ever spent was £250 and we had 2 lots of family over on Christmas Day and Boxing Day & a party with friends on Christmas Eve that year! (Before COL though )

Posh pizza and red wine.
Champagne and pavlova.
Lots of savoury snacks and sweet treats.

Hot chocolate, prosecco and more snacks and treats for days!

How much is it? I don't know tbh
