Can we please ban AI generated poetry?

In my workplace practically every more social group email has some truly dire obviously AI generated poetry attached. AI is useful, but should be used sparingly we’ve been told at work due to the environmental impact, but sheesh, emails that used to simply say ‘here’s this week’s canteen menu’ is now some shmaltzy dirge about how lipsmackingly luscious this weeks lunch is. I face at least one a day of these. Please make it stop!

Email rules - create them to bin the shit before it meets your gaze.

Its all drivel anyway, bin it and live a happier life

How awful. Words fail really. AI poetry is such rubbish apart from anything else.

I totally get it! I was actually guilty of this until a coworker cringed at my "delightfully delicious" lunch email lol.
Started using Clever AI Humanizer aihumanizer to fix my ChatGPT writing. It tones down that ridiculous over-the-top AI voice into something normal people actually say. Not perfect—sometimes needs tweaking—but way better than sounding like a robot having a meltdown over chicken nuggets. Saves me so much embarrassment now!

It’s shocking that people use it for stuff like this. AI can get in the bin.

Or you could just write your own messages.

Oh but you’d be a Luddite then 🙄

Am I the only person who feels slightly uneasy about AI being used to do something that people could do easily themselves? OK, I can just about get behind using it for research purposes (although I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it and would want to verify its findings), but people using it for actions that they could just simply look up, or to give a 'gloss' to writing that doesn't need it is making me twitch. As though we're being deliberately deskilled, so everything HAS to be done by AI because, for example, nobody knows how a business e mail is even written...
