I got to the checkout and there they were, on special offer. £1.14. So I added one to the checkout belt. And then another. And they are delicous but I still have 20lbs to lose. DARN.

YABU.

You should have baked a Marslady lemon drizzle cake - they are to die for

Well worth not losing the 20lbs...

MrsTittleMouse · 10/06/2008 20:22

YABU - you should have bought 4 and frozen 2.

Are they slices or whole cakes ?

Could you freeze one, or take to a friend?

Don't eat em both, even if they are yummy.

Totally agree with squonk!

ooh, who/what is Marslady ? Tell me quick. One cake in freezer. One half eaten. Bloomin lovely and much needed today. BALD, they are WHOLE cakes which for £1.14 was most of the appeal !!

ooh lovely, thanks Squonk, great recipe. Will try this weekend. I cant decide whether lemon drizzle or coffee and walnut cake is the most addictive.

Nope YANBU they are delicious!

Good suggestion to freeze one though. Or, cut into slices and then freeze Then nothing is wasted

mousemole · 10/06/2008 20:38

Janos - great idea about the slices.
