ND neighbour came home at 2.30am, woke us up. Party then reconvenes in the house. 4am it moves to the kitchen and wakes my girls up. DS19 is dead to it.
They finally shut up about 6.25am

So DS is off today, gonna ask him to thud thud thud with this ball for a few hours. DS doesn't normally play on street he normally goes to the park which has courts.

I know potentially IABU, you shouldn't add fuel to the fire. Im sleep deprived, my children are cranky as they are tired. I

YABU - people are entitled to party till 6am ish, then sleep it off.
YANBU - disrupt them back, during daytime hours using a perfectly normal day time activity, that requires thud, thud, thud also.

I have tried talking to her, her attitude is she's owns it and can do what she wants. She's mid 20s.

Only if you have no other neighbours...

PodMom · 16/12/2025 07:11

If you have no other neighbours I’d turn your stereo up full blast.

vanillalattes · 16/12/2025 07:15

I hope you don’t have any other neighbours if that’s your plan!

Hoovering and loud music

RandomMess · 16/12/2025 07:19

I suspect your neighbour will sleep through you being noisy tbh

itsmeits · 16/12/2025 07:19

One side houses only, grass land across the road. The NDN in question is the end house with the side entry, to the back entry. Big space to play ball. Other side will be empty by 8am. I have already responded to there text, about the music keeping her up also!

I’d go and knock really really hard on her door until she answers it then ask her if she’d mind taking a parcel in for you tomorrow. Then I’d play loud music. Do you know if her bedroom wall is on your side. If so, switch the hoover on and leave it running right up against the wall.

We built fitted wardrobes against that joining wall, other wise I'd of allowed ball in the house today against that wall.
I don't need to leave till 8.30am composing a lively 30 mins playlist for her.
Weekend, may let youngest listen to her favourite song on repeat in the yard if weather permits. Wonder how she will fair with a baby shark marathon
