no children around and it was relevant to the conversation I was having, although wanker would also have done. The people I was talking to laughed and agreed

I never use the c word normally

ooh no, FM, you mustn't use words like low-class (or chav) as I think some here find it offensive

DrNortherner · 13/06/2008 14:26

So only low class people swear

mylovelymonster · 13/06/2008 19:15

How can anyone be offended by the term 'low-class'? It's 'just a word' after all. lol.

FWIW, I hate the term 'low-class' as much as I loathe the word 'cunt', but some here are not bothered by 'just words', so am aping a poor argument laid down by others here. HTH.

i havent read the entire 7 pages of this thread but i find the C word offensive and i wouldnt consider myself prissy. why would you enjoy making this person feel uncomfortable?

sophiajane · 13/06/2008 20:54

Good on you - I like the c word it's very expressive but bit strong for school perhaps..

Heated · 13/06/2008 21:08

How very Anglo-Saxon of you

However context is everything: to use it in a children's playround to upset someone because she's a 'prissy pita' reflects poorly on the OP.

boogiewoogie · 13/06/2008 21:17

Agree with what some posters have said here. I think swear words used in the right context can be acceptable but using it just to annoy someone is no better than bullying. Just how does it make the op look good?
