no children around and it was relevant to the conversation I was having, although wanker would also have done. The people I was talking to laughed and agreed

I never use the c word normally

Heifer · 10/06/2008 19:24

well tbh, I could well be that prissy pita - as I really wouldn't like it if someone at school said the C word in front of me...

Fanjo would be fine however....

MingMingtheWonderPet · 10/06/2008 19:25

Do you mean 'caterpillar' !!

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 10/06/2008 19:26

How vulgar of you...

CrushWithEyeliner · 10/06/2008 19:27

yuk

WigWamBam · 10/06/2008 19:28

And you're proud of this?

Blimey.

Herodias · 10/06/2008 19:28

You used the word cunt, I assume?
At school?

Did it make you feel big and clever?

There is a fine line between being prissy and being a mature adult, it would seem.

ILiveinhope · 10/06/2008 19:28

nah not in good taste, the C word is just lowering yourself to her standard.

Did you not feel like taking a shower after you said it?

NotABanana · 10/06/2008 19:29
Hmm
moopdaloop · 10/06/2008 19:29

it was extremely vulgar yes - and also extremely funny at the same time

OP posts:
BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 10/06/2008 19:31

I suppose it depends on your standards really, but IMO very vulgar.

2point4kids · 10/06/2008 19:31

its only a word! i wouldnt say it to someone as an insult but i would say it in the context above
The more you are all so about it, the more people will use it to shcok people!

moopdaloop · 10/06/2008 19:31

not disagreeing

OP posts:
Herodias · 10/06/2008 19:33

I'm not shocked by it.

I just think it is crass and childish to use it in the context described in the OP.

unknownrebelbang · 10/06/2008 19:33

Not something I'd do, tbh.

Call me a prissy pita.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 10/06/2008 19:34

2.4 is that not extremely childish ??

Using a word more because people find it vulgar and offensive ??

Desiderata · 10/06/2008 19:35

Some women are very prissy, though. I can understand how you might be goaded ... the little red devil, and all that.

WigWamBam · 10/06/2008 19:35

I'm not shocked by the word. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

But using a word which you know will offend someone, and using it only because you know it will offend them, is something that seven year olds do, not mature adults.

CrushWithEyeliner · 10/06/2008 19:36

You did this for shock effect in front of a woman you don't know who you feel is prissy? That is so contrived and a bit odd tbh. Maybe she is just shy or not foul mouthed.

moopdaloop · 10/06/2008 19:43

it wasn't premeditated - it just was, and I thnk I was shocked by it coming out of my mouth, but after-the-fact it was funny that she was there - and I do know her actually, I don't judge people on appearance

OP posts:
CrushWithEyeliner · 10/06/2008 19:46

Do you know her and dislike her then? So you wanted to make her feel uncomfortable?

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 10/06/2008 19:49

Are you very young ????

Kimi · 10/06/2008 19:49

C work = chocolate?

ScottishMummy · 10/06/2008 19:50

what C word = crisps?oh well just mean she thinks you are a potty mouth, and you are

moopdaloop · 10/06/2008 19:53

Crushwitheyeliner - yes I know her, yes I don't particularly like her (dislike would be too strong) and I think I already said it wasn't premeditated
