To feel my husband just doesnt understand me

Tongue in cheek.

Last week I thought my leave started on Wednesday this week. I was disappointed to realise it actually starts next Monday. I go back to work in January. But more than that... I was gutted to realise that my mix up means I dont have enough pages in my notebook left! I have 2 pages to last all week including today. I normally use 1-2 pages a day. I could have squeezed in 3 days but not 5.

I told my husband about my anguish and he said... wait for it... to just start a new notebook this week! He actually suggested I began next year with a note book with just a few pages filled out! Can you believe he said that to me?!

I tried to explain that starting a new year with a well established notebook was fine. Starting the year with an empty new notebook is perfection. But starting a new year with a notebook with a few pages used just starts the year off wrong.

I plan to paperclip some pages into this notebook. He thinks I'm being ridiculous. I'm wondering who the monster I married is.

YANBU at all!
Mine keeps " borrowing" my favourite pen.
As in using it then hiding it in a random draw.
Its infuriating.

I'm not aure paper clipping pages is the answer. The only logical solution is to reduce your workload down to notebook capacity. Any reasonable manager will understand.

Londonmummy66 · 15/12/2025 15:21

Surely the answer is to finish the current notebook, start a new one for the rest of the year. Then start another pristine notebook again for January. (Even better if you get them from the office stationery cupboard....)

You are married to a sociopath.

TallShip · 15/12/2025 16:23

Definitely staple the odd pages into the old book!
