To think that antisemitism now needs to be tackled in the strongest possible way?

The Bondi thread in chat was eye opening.

Forty pages and a lot of it whataboutery, excuses and vile antisemitism.

It’s disgusting.

It needs to be called out. It needs to be rooted out.

I feel so sorry for the Jewish communities everywhere. How can they possibly feel safe?

Marching against genocide is essential.

I’m now wondering if you would march alongside them if they were chanting ‘Kill the Jews’ if chanting support for people who want to kill the Jews is ok.

Great, so you will be marching against the other form of terrorism. Otherwise, I'm not sure why you are here.

I think it's becoming transparent that many Liberal posters care more for their overinflated sense of self-righteousness than they do for anything else.

Edited

Indeed.

What will it take for them to examine their behaviour?

Israel cannot be excused for genocide, war crimes, murdering and starving children. At any time.

There is no genocide in Gaza.
Hamas and their supporters have managed to weaponise many emotive words and spread lies.

I genuinely think some people’s brains fall out when the word Palestine is used.

25milesfromhome · 16/12/2025 19:13

singmoon · 16/12/2025 18:34

I'll ask you, do you think there is a time when war crimes can be ignored?

Do you? Plenty of people seem to be able to ignore the war crimes committed by Hamas and their associated terrorist organisations- maybe you could ask them should you happen to come across anyone at your next protest shouting violent slogans that call for the end of the one tiny Jewish majority country in the world or praising organisations that would like to harm and kill Jews. I'm sure they have all the answers.

HappyFace2025 · 16/12/2025 19:45

singmoon · 16/12/2025 18:21

Also, I would never argue that no protestors were anti semitic. My argument is that protesting against Israeli war crimes is not anti semitic, and is a perfectly reasonable and indeed good thing to do.

If you think that is 'a good thing to do' you are very much mistaken.

The problem we have is that any support for the Palestinian cause or any criticism of Netanyahu is incorrectly labelled as anti semitic. Until there is a definition of antisemitism that any reasonable person could agree with, there is no way of knowing where to start when trying to tackle it.

When on October the 8th the ‘pro Palestinians ’ were on the streets , calling to globalise the intifada, denying the genocide that has just taken place against Jews and dehumanising the Jewish people most people can see what they mean! The government has allowed this hate speech for two years and even after the Manchester synagogue terror attack they marched the day after. The left, far right, Islamists and pro pals actually take pleasure in causing as much hurt and harm they can to the Jewish people , the laugh and torment at the the suffering of the Jewish people and they had the numbers to be loud and intimidating

They were already screaming genocide in the days immediately after October 7th.

They were screaming Holocaust on MN and then they got told it was antisemitic and their posts kept getting deleted so they modified it to genocide.

This was before Israel had even started a ground offensive.

Exactly my point. It’s all a very well orchestrated plan to dehumanise and delegitimise the Jewish people, like the general public can’t see what they mean when they have replaced ‘Jewish’ with ‘ Zionist’ to get away with hate crimes

ScribblingPixie · 16/12/2025 21:39

There are so many people who have lost the ability to see their own behaviour clearly. A friend work colleague of DH who is very proPal put a post on Facebook to praise the Syrian shopkeeper who took a gun from one of the terrorists, but nothing else about the attack at all. Zero empathy. But he'd consider himself a really good guy.

This is what I said on the other thread; it’s frightening to think they see themselves as the good guys.

They all make me sick.

I have not heard a single chant of death to Jews. Of course that would be highly anti semitic.

Outside the Sydney opera house just after the genocide in Israel on ( October the 9th ) the “peaceful” protestors were calling for death to the Jews

Well this is why there is so much debate on the topic here. I feel that the supporters of Israel and it's appalling inhumane actions are either victims of propaganda, or are deeply uncaring about human life. I prefer to believe the first naturally.

Why do you think that anyone concerned about people marching chanting support for terrorists on the streets of the U.K. must be Israel supporters?

Isn’t people chanting support for terrorists something any normal person would be concerned about, whatever their opinion on Israel?

I'm not talking about chanting support for terrorism, I'm talking support for palestine. The two are very different. I don't support or defend killing civilians. Which Hamas has done. And terrorists in many places have done. And Israel has done. All equally indefensible.

You are incorrect. Israel is not guilty of inhumane rights and supporters of Israel are not victims of propaganda nor deeply uncaring about human life. How very dare you? Blatant lies on your part.

Can I gently suggest you also try to seek out some alternative sources of information because your every post is steeped in the language and ideologies of IRI/Qatari/Hamas propaganda.
