Elective hernia - any advice?

I have a small hernia from carrying twins 10 years ago. It was scanned and the docs told me it shouldn't cause any future issues.

Recently I have been experiencing an ache/pain every few weeks and it does stick out at times. I am worries about it growing and a possible strangulation in the future. I have asked for a docs appointment.

We have had several health scares in the family recently and I want to have it removed to head this off at the pass.

Has anyone has a small hernia removed recently? What is the process like?

It's a quick in and out, if it goes ok.

Definitely get it done.

Hi sorry this is an old post, I’ve got a groin hernia, started small but has been getting bigger recently and now I can see it, I think I’m going to have to have the surgery soon, did you have it done in the end? X
