I need to purchase a ring doorbell but am so confused by the options.

Do I get a wired or battery one?

I want to stick it on the wall next to the door.

I got the battery one, it tells you on the app when it needs charging, very simple tp put on the wall with sticky pads supplied. It was up and working the same day, I fitted it myself.

I got the battery one too and a spare so can quickly swap it. I would have had to pay for an electrician to fit a wired one. So this was easier.

Wired one here - never needs charging. We have 3 separate ring cameras around our property which are battery operated. Ring doorbell gets more traffic so that’s why we have that one plugged into mains.

I've gone for the battery one with sticky pads. Did you stick yours on your door or the brick wall?

Wired one here. We had the whole house rewired though, so it was a very small job in the scheme of things.
