To want to shout shut the fuck up to the woman ACROSS the pub from me?!

I’m treating myself to a drink in my favourite Christmassy pub. It’s been great so far but now a (I presume) family of six have come in. One of the women is being SO loud I can hear everything. I was enjoying the Christmas music, getting into the Christmas spirit etc . And now all I can hear is her braying on about who said what on Facebook. I don’t know how those closer to her are putting up with it.

I have a friend who simply has no volume control. She has a really loud voice and seems to be completely unaware of it. You could definitely hear her across the pub!

Yep, it's getting to that time of year again where us regulars abandon the local until New Year and let the once-a-year drinkers in to play.

Increasingly people are unaware or choosing to ignore their own loudness. I am sick of hearing people shout, tell stories at full volume or laughing performatively. It’s just a symptom of the current lack of politeness and disregard for others comfort.

I did this at the spa in my gym the other day!! Shouted across the massive hot tub and asked someone to stop shouting!!

She might have just gotten carried away, whether drink fuelled or not. Some people don’t realise how loud they are
