Interested in just that really - youngest in mine was 28 and oldest 38 I think. I sat at 32.

There were six in my NCT group and three of us were over 40. The youngest was 34.

Only two of us had two children, though; the others all stayed at one.

We were 27 to 39. Dads within that age group too. NCT tends to attract older mothers (it costs money after all).

ETA: it’s not the demographics of our area - I am a good 10 years older than most school parents and poor DH is 15 years older than most parents with kids same age as ours. It is literally just NCT demographics.

I was the youngest by far with my first at 16. I went again with my 4th, mainly to make friends as I had moved 200 miles from home. I was still one of the youngest (but not the youngest at 28) definitely the only one to already have 3 though.id say the oldest was 46

NCT - 25 to 37
Surestart - 18 to 41

Everybody in mine was in their 30s or just entered their 40s.

I expect that depending where you are in the county will be the biggest influence.

I was the second youngest at 31, I think one of the women was 30. Oldest was 37, but she already had a 3 year old. Oldest of the first time mums was 35.

It was similar ages at baby classes. I knew one mum who was 27 and she was definitely the youngest I met at any of them.

FeedMeSantiago · 09/12/2025 16:42

I did NCT last year, the mums were all aged 33-35.

I think it all depends on where you live.
