Treating ourselves to a huge Christmas blow out - how would you spend £1000?

We have had a crappy year for various reasons so have decided we are going to go all out this year.

We have earmarked £1000 to spend for Christmas (ignoring presents) - how would you spend it? We’ve already ordered the Tom Kerridge beef wellington from M&S (not part of this budget), but I’d love to know what other things Mumsnetters would recommend. I don’t know where to start!

I would treat myself, without worrying to anything, that I would usually pass by.

I would definitely go to the Ritz in London. It won best restaurant in the UK this year. Apparently they use absolutely the best available ingredients at all times.
I’ve just googled it and places are still available : £670 per adult, £350 per child.
Wildly expensive of course but it would provide what you want?

Um she said in her op, she’s a grand ro spend? How would five of them afford that?
