To wonder why she lies about her appearance?

I have an acquaintance, I only follow her on Instagram these days but she’s the type who once had a public rant that she didn’t get enough likes on her photo.

She’s now started generating very obvious AI photos and videos of herself and claiming paparazzi have taken them or she’s just done a modelling shoot.

I don’t know whether to actually be concerned for her? or Aibu and this is kind of normal now?

I wouldn’t be concerned. Maybe just mute her if it’s annoying.

It's not normal if she expects people to take it seriously rather than think she's mucking about, but if you hardly know this woman why would you worry about it? Just stop following her.

If she's just an acquaintance then why would you be "concerned for her"? Why does it bother you?

Because I’d be concerned for anyone displaying behaviour that isn’t normal. Do I only have to care for someone I actually know?

Is she a celebrity (even in a very loose sense)? If not, does she actually believe paparazzi are photographing her, or think its believable? Or is it intended as a joke?

If she actually believes paparazzi are photographing her and that isn't a possibility, then yes that's rather worrying. But also not your problem to worry about. If she'd posting this publicly her nearest and dearest will be aware
