Pregnancy reveal/reaction video - to feel a bit miffed

DSIL announced her pregnancy to DH and I on Friday night. Today she posted a video montage on social media of friend and families reactions which included a video of us (we weren’t aware we were being filmed until we saw this)!

I find this a bit….strange. I won’t say anything because I don’t want to ruin their moment but am I unreasonable to find the whole thing weird?

Thats life now, everything is recorded and shared

It’s totally weird - both filming you without mentioning it and then putting together a ‘GASP!’ video montage. I swear some people can’t breathe these days unless their every moment is being documented online…

Sounds insufferable. Huge main character syndrome!

Also if someone tells me their pregnant, unless it's some amazing miracle baby, I'm like "oh that's lovely" so it's not exactly shrieking and crying. It's so weird to be so focused on people's reactions!

I would be furious. Ask her to edit you out and make clear that you never want to be covertly filmed again.
