West Side Story - is it possible there’s a better opening scene?

Watching West Side Story yet again and always marvel at the opening scene. It’s perfect; the colours, the choreography, the music. Can there really be anything that tops it? I’ve been watching it since I was quite young so nigh on 50 years now and I never get tired of it.

One of my favourite films. I love everything...the dancing, singing and story. I cry every time .

Me too, the songs actually really make me emotional.
