How to deal with toxic work environment?

The company I work for isn't in a great state right now. Multiple rounds of redundancies, poor decisions from senior management, etc. For various reasons I don't want to leave - there aren't a lot of jobs like this locally, and the flexibility I have with two young kids is invaluable.

How do I emotionally detach? Trying to view it as a transactional arrangement! Does it matter than I'm dissolutioned with the company itself if I still enjoy the work and have a decent line manager?

Sarcasm and chocolate.

But honestly a good work friend that you can go for a coffee and offload

It sounds like you have a little bubble surrounding you with your job and line manager.

Setting boundaries is the only way…… so doing your job, in your contracted hours then leaving or logging off.

Search for another job, if you have been mistreated at work, there are multiple rights. No matter what the benefits are the mental health impact is not worth it.
