Sat reminiscing with my best friend. We both read a couple of books many, many years ago, we can't remember the names but remember some little details! First one: a novel about a semi famous woman named Deborah, she has long hair that's all we remember! Had a stalker maybe?
Second one: a young woman has lost her mum, she goes back to Italy to her mum's family, her mum ran away and her mum wore a lot of bangles? If anyone can remember the names of these books 📚 we would be grateful forever more 🙏

They're amazing - I once asked if anyone could recognise a book for which I gave lots of incorrect information- wrong century, wrong continent, wrong sex of main character. They named it within 3 replies!

First book:
The novel you are likely thinking of is Looker by Laura Sims.
This psychological thriller centers on an unnamed female narrator who becomes obsessed with her neighbor, a successful and beautiful actress. The narrator loses her grip on reality and begins to stalk the actress, who is described as having striking, long hair. The book is a modern example of the "female stalker novel" trope, exploring themes of obsession and envy.

Second book:
The plot you are describing is likely from the novel One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle.
In this novel, the protagonist, Katy, has lost her mother, Carol, who was her best friend and with whom she had planned a trip to Positano, Italy. After her mother's death, Katy decides to take the trip alone, following in her mother's footsteps from the summer before she met Katy's father.

Edited

Sadly not an Italian summer but thank you!

Need more Deborah info - there are too many possibilities!
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/96452.Deborah

I think she may have been an ex tv star, possibly soap 🤔I remember it saying a fan was pawing at her and she was professionally ignoring him! If I'm remembering rightly, the front cover was green
