Boss stole ALL Christmas Presents!

I find this crazy!

My friend just told me last year her boss stole all her Christmas presents and threw away all her Christmas cards

Her boss is a head teacher in a school and she is her PA.

last Christmas she was on leave. Came back and people were asking her how she liked their Christmas gift. One co worker especially since she said she’ll gift her these diy gorgeous Christmas wreaths she usually sells.

my friend was confused. Later learns all the gifts left in her office. The head teacher stole them and threw away all the cards!

when my friend asked the head teacher about it she went

well I saw wine and I know that you don’t drink so. Didn’t you say you don’t drink?

and there were chocolates. Didn’t you say you have prediabetes??

the gifts weren’t that expensive anyway. I didn’t think you’d mind.

WTF!

Awful behaviour. Especially from a head teacher of all people!

I know someone who did this for years never admitted it but was obvious. She was a right nasty bitch

MarxistMags · 01/12/2025 21:28

Outrageous behavior 🤯

lazyarse123 · 01/12/2025 21:31

I hope your friend told the people who bought her things what happened.
If she's still there this year maybe organise to swap gifts earlier.

Wow, that's absolutely unbelievable. I would like to think that your friend has invested in a small wireless camera for her office for the future, they're quite inexpensive and seeing as how she has a known thief in the workplace and one who apparently has access to her office, that may not be a bad idea. That's just wild. What a horrible person to do this but, at least he admitted it. Obviously he didn't think he did anything wrong, or was trying to justify it. Terrible

BubblesandBows · 07/12/2025 16:11

You can’t go around adding cameras in offices in a school though so don’t do this!

NarwhalBuddy · 07/12/2025 16:15

This is theft. Plain and simple

MollyButton · 07/12/2025 16:16

Is she still working there? If so why?
Personally I would have “jokingly” told some people what had happened and found a new job.

And if my children were at that school I would also be moving them. My trust for the place would be utterly destroyed.

Fucking hell, we had a cleaner at school who nicked presents one year, from offices (mine) and staffroom pigeon holes. She got sacked(caught on cctv), This one should have been too. Reported to governors. What a cow.

I used to work for a tiny company many years ago - 2 of us and the MD. We would get hampers, wine, the usual client gifts every year.

And every year, the boss's wife, who did absolutely nothing business wise, would come in and take them all. Everything. Nothing was shared, ever.

Except one year (the last year, ironically) she snatched it all and left it in her car, which got broken into because she had left a massive F&M wicker hamper box in her boot on full view.
