Is anyone else getting excited for Christmas glam?

I never do my makeup day to day, I love doing it but there just isn’t time in the morning before work. So doing a full face of glam gets me so excited! I’ve got lots on over the Christmas period too, so it’ll be really nice to get dressed up a lot

I've never understood why some people get all dressed up to eat Christmas dinner in their own home.

We never did as kids so I've just carried on doing the same.

I definitely plan an outfit for Christmas Day and meals at peoples houses around that time. Smart, dressed up, comfortable, won’t get too hot and will work with shoes off. Whack an apron on whilst cooking (if at home / helping).

Wouldn’t countenance Christmas Day in pjs or without putting my face on.

coming over, I can’t imagine sitting in my pyjamas!

I’ve done both over the years.

But unlike OP, I go out and wear makeup and nice outfits quite often. So to me, Christmas can be getting a break from that. for my lifestyle, spending Christmas at home in a nice set of pjs or loungewear is actually refreshing. It’s like a day off normal life.

Yes and it's for the male gaze. Honestly I don't give a shit what males in general think (but I definitely like feeling that if I met my DH now he would still chat me up) but I have never lost the love of choosing outfits and trying out new looks.

On I don’t know….I quite like thinking I may be attractive to a man (being 51 and having no make attention for many years) 😂

@XmasGlamIncoming I didn't say I'd be eating my Christmas dinner in my pyjamas. I'd be wearing comfortable clothes like I do every day. Probably leggings and a top.

Ah I love getting all done up, even for Christmas Day at home I’ll do a blow out and full glam makeup 😂 I have done since I was a teenager!

Me too! Now I have dcs I cannot be bothered with nights out (been there done that), but god I miss getting all dressed up. I'll add a bit of sparkle to Christmas day even in the house, it was always traditional when I grew up too, that everyone dressed smartly, sometimes wearing items they had gotten for Christmas. Boxing day I slob about in pjs eating left overs.
