Is anyone else getting excited for Christmas glam?

I never do my makeup day to day, I love doing it but there just isn’t time in the morning before work. So doing a full face of glam gets me so excited! I’ve got lots on over the Christmas period too, so it’ll be really nice to get dressed up a lot

I don’t really associate Christmas with “full glam”, if anything it’s an opportunity to relax

Ah I love getting all done up, even for Christmas Day at home I’ll do a blow out and full glam makeup 😂 I have done since I was a teenager!

Yeah the weather is really throwing a spanner in the works! Personally I just go for a nice outfit and chuck whatever coat over the top 😂

Same here. I'm looking for a new lounge wear set of pyjamas for Christmas Day! I am excited for some time off to do full on pampering baths with a facemask, body scrub and hair mask.

I can't think of anything worse than getting glam for Christmas. Christmas is an excuse for me to look like a slob, more than usual 😂

I don’t really wear makeup, on a special occasion i’ll push the boat out and do a bit of eyeliner and lippy 😂 but my skin is nice and I’m lazy so this isn’t something I can ever be arsed with.
I’ve got a couple of nice things to wear though for some Christmas nights out so I that’ll be nice.
on Christmas Day I’ll be found in leggings and a sweatshirt racing round the house like a madman, no makeup on either!

Meh, let them. The vast majority of people who look down on women who enjoy getting glam do so because they don’t know how to do it themselves!

Not really, I'll do myself up glam whenever I feel like it....dont have to wait for christmas!!😄
On the day I prefer comfy loungewear anyways.

This is mumsnst where people love to be miserable, hate weddings, don’t celebrate birthdays and in general view fun with suspicion. Don’t have high expectations. 😀

I like to make an effort at Christmas too. Obviously if going out etc but even if just home for Christmas with just DH and DS. As children we always had new clothes to wear in Christmas Day and my parents and grandparents etc would all have made an effort too. I was brought up in Ireland so most people would have gone to mass in the morning so would dress well for that.

Me too, OP. I’ve already had my red sparkly nails done. I can’t wait to start wearing the sparkles and sequins.
My hair is well overdue being done, but I have an appointment for highlights and brows in mid December.

I might even get lashes 😆

I would love to be able to do good smoky eye make up. Sadly I can't. Still trying to find a decent outfit for our Xmas night out. Most of the ladies I go with do all out sparkling outfit but sparkles especially silver, and I resemble the turkey about to go in the oven.

I always do a fake Smokey eye. And I always do it first, before any base makeup. You can cover up a multitude of sins with foundation

The thought of going out in full glam gives me the fear. Yanbu though- that was the best part of going out when I was younger!
