Last year, a lovely MN person started a thread suggesting people posted their top 3 favourite Christmas songs. No explanations, just three songs.

As my little town had its Christmas light switch-on ceremony this evening, I reckon it's time to start this year's list. Go, MN-etters! Mine are...

  1. Glee version of 'I Need a Little Christmas Now'
  1. Tim Minchin's 'Drinking White Wine in the Sun'.
  1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” (1996)

I have a sneaky soft spot for
All I Want for Christmas is You
and the Ariana Grande one from a few years ago which is basically counterpoint to it.

But nothing can beat the line from Bono:
”Tonight thank God it’s them instead of you!”

When I hear Wizzard on the car radio then I really know it's Christmas! No idea why I like that one, probably because it's been around longer than me, for every Christmas I remember!

Same of course could be said of Slade, Johnny Mathis, David and Bing etc!
