AO arena tickets, any advice on best view & reselling?

Imagine my delight after a really stressful hour or two (timing out, website glitching etc) when I bagged 3 tix for an artist at AO Arena Manc who I've missed out on before. Ecstatic.

They're not bad tix. About 1/3 up one of the corner blocks, lower tier.

Later when I was checking open windows before shutting the laptop down (so the kids don't see the Xmas surprise early) .... 3 tix were now showing in a better (I think) spot. Directly facing the stage only a few rows back.

I'm my excitement I bought them too.

(I'm still within limits of 6 tix per household so all OK with that t&c)

Now the adrenaline has faded.... I'm a little nervous about the amount of ££ this cost. Plus I don't need half the tix.

So I need to resell one set (via official reseller obvs)

I've never done this before & was hoping for some advice.

I bought my tix in a presale from the artist, there were links to 2 sellers: G&T and AXS. The 1st set I bought from G&T, the 2nd set from AXS.

G&T say Twickets is the official reseller, AXS (AO partner ticket seller) say their own resale is their only recognised one.

Anyone used to doing this sort of thing? Will I be OK as long as I sell my unwanted set via that sellers named reseller? And how long does it take to get your money?

Also anyone with experience of AO Manch... is it better to be on a corner tier approx 10 rows up, or tier facing the stage about 5 rows up (I thought the latter would be better but wondering if there's central consoles of equipment that might obscure the view or if it's raised enough to see over the standing tickets? wondering if the side-slightly-higher seats might be better?)

Pls be kind & helpful, I've not been to an arena / stadium gig in 20+ years! It was all v different then!

This is a huge expense for us for 1 set of tickets but as I have a big birthday coming up, as does one of my DC, so thought it'd be a lovely way to treat us. But I do need to work on getting the extra set sold & need to figure how to do it legit & which set.

Thanks for all help.

I can't help with the arena seating tips, but Twickets is entirely legit and you get your money as soon as the tickets sell. You can't sell for more than the face value of the tickets (and Twickets add a small handling fee which is paid by the buyer).
Depending on when your gig is and its popularity the tickets might go at once or they may hang around. You will see on Twickets how many others are listed for your gig.
If there are a lot, you may want to do 'accepting offers' if you want them sold but don't mind taking a cut. I would probably do that nearer the show though if it looks like they aren't selling.

@goldtrap that's good to hear thanks, I need to decide which set I'm keeping because they seem to have different resellers which may be normal from different sellers? I've heard of twickets & assumed all tickets could be resold thru them but the things I've been sent suggest not

Only looking to get my money back hopefully so face value. Tho I'm hoping some of the fees are included in that, they total about £40+ from AXS. But if not it's on me for impulse re-purchasing.... never again lol

Anyone familiar with the layout at the AO Arena in Manchester? 🙏

I've used both selling sites. If it's a popular gig you'll make your money back. The company take their cut. I'd say the experience of both resale sites is similar. You get your money a few days after the gig, even if the tickets sell immediately.

I've sold lots of tickets on Twickets as I'm addicted to gigs and often end up with several a week (for example last week I went to see Kneecap in Leeds and then went to Dublin to see My Bloody Valentine).

Twickets is great - can't sell for more then the retail price and then do take fees. However you get the money as soon as they sell via PayPal. You can upload the tickets to the site so you don't have to interact with the buyer if you have a digital version. This is significantly better than my experience of Ticketmaster resale although they do everything for you so you don't need to upload tickets. They take a much larger fee though. Twickets is just much nicer and I have come to the conclusion if I ever miss out on getting tickets, if I put an alert on Twickets I can genuinely get a ticket to it.

I went to the AO to see Lorde a couple of weeks ago (yes I am a music addict). The tickets were a code you scanned. In this case you need to transfer the ticket to the persons email. Twickets will support if you have any issues.

The only issue I have ever had with Twickets is there is a reselling cut off which is 2 hours before the gig. I realised at 5pm that I couldn't make a gig at 7pm and couldn't resell.

As long as you aren't going round Facebook groups offering up tickets - I wouldn't trust anyone doing this - then you will be fine. Resell is very common and a very safe way of getting rid of unwanted tickets.

Yes I am. The lower blocks have better views. It's huge - 23,000. I would say that blocks 102/103 and 115/116 are the best. There is genuinely no bad seats in an arena though as you will see and experience it wherever you are sat. My first gig there was Pulp in 1996 - sat on row A, block 103. It was a phenomenal view.

libertineagain · 26/11/2025 07:14

Sorry it's block 114 - 116 doesn't exist. Based on Pulp I've always gone 102 or 103.

Viewfrommyseat.vom then navigate to your block at AO arena. Use twickets to resell. Open an account. Has to be face value or less (you can accept offers) 114 approx halfway or better. Good block so should resell

TheMeatyDrop · 26/11/2025 12:34

I've checked... it's block 112 (10 rows up on the bend) VS block 108 (4 rows up).

Which one should win our bums on their seats 🍑😆
