Has anyone got one? Would you recommend?

Would not recommend. One of the pipes became slightly detached from the bath, it was un-noticeable, until water started coming through the ceiling.

Also, it was loud when on and I didn't think it was really possible to clean the pipes properly.

That was 20+ years ago though, so maybe new ones are better

Same as above we had one in our house 15 odd years ago, used it once or twice , when renovating removed it and put in a regular bath tub. It was loud and hard to clean maybe the newer ones are better though

We've had a rectangular one for about 20 years. We're a family of 3 adults and it's used daily (we all prefer baths to showers).
We clean the sides of the bath with Cif bathroom or similar. Every month we fill the bath with cold water and chuck in a whole bottle of Milton sterilising fluid, then turn the jets on (there are specialist products but Milton seems to work). We also do the same when we get back from holiday, because there's always a small bit of water lying in the pipes.
SIL has a corner bath and they hardly use it because it takes so much water to fill it.
The only time I haven't used it was when I was pregnant, as they've not recommended.
Getting it upstairs took 4 people because the motor makes it heavy. We also had to get the electrics sorted, which added to the cost.

@illsendansostotheworld , I have a really quite swanky jacuzzi bath. I also have a lovely jacuzzi hot tub in the garden. The garden hot tub is regularly used and I love it, the bath is used infrequently and is just not the joy I had anticipated and hoped for.

I love a jacuzzi and I had one in a previous house… but never again. So so noisy that it’s not relaxing!

outdooryone · 24/11/2025 15:30

Loud (the neighbours thought I was drilling a wall loud...), hard to clean, not often used when you are over the initial excitement and realise that you have to clean it before use and it is not exactly relaxing to have such a roar of noise from under your bum somewhere.
And then a pipe detached which brough down dining room ceiling.
So a no from me.

Way too many negative responses, thanks all, think we'll give it a miss!

I've got a new one. Still noisy and crap builds up in the pipes. I have to run it with special cleaner before I ever turn on the pump. And even a normal bath crap comes out the jets because obviously they don't come with caps. All the cleaning fluids are really expensive too. Also annoying having to clean and descale around the jets in the bathtub. They collect water stains. Massive regret I bloody hate it. Wish I'd thought to ask MN first!

Get one of those jacuzzi mats you lay in the bath instead.

Got one recently-hesitated due to negative comments, but it's been brilliant, and the 2 males in the house, who were the most negative (not all males, just my 2!) use it the most and love it. Helps with muscle ache. Not planning to move for a long time-if you are moving soon, and worry it would put buyers off, that's different.
Do your research and don't get the old style though
