To wonder why our DP's must go on and on about how tired they are?

Have seen evidence of this on other threads too, so maybe not!

DP doesnt live with me (my preference) and comes round for a couple of hours in the evening. He always goes on about how tired he is and how little he has slept.

I say nothing because i cant be arsed arguing. He works from home but his time is his own.

Is he scared I'm going to ask him to do something out of resentment? I wouldnt. I knew that his involvement would be minimal and I enjoy DD on my own.

Its just so BLAH.

Nope NBU.

My DP works nights 10-7, he then proceeds to sleep from 10/11 - 9 at night, comes home in the morning and complains about how knackered he is!!!

Nevermind the fact that DD had me up at 5 even though I didn't go to bed till 11 cos I was cleaning!

I have never once said I was tired, As far as i'm concerned, its a given with a baby. I couldnt help but smirk when he said he'd been awake 4,5,6 o'clock.
Er, welcome to my world.

Don't get me started.....
DH has had an exhausting weekend, watching the cricket, football, going to the cinema (which he's passing off as childcare as he took DS along), reading a book on a sunlounger...... Just because he did the food shop and made the lunch (sandwiches), he then kicked off when I asked him to iron 2 kids' shirts as I've apparently been "giving him orders all weekend!" I, on the other hand haven't stopped all weekend.

Yeh its quite funny cos my DP says that hes been awake all day cos of the kids outside and DD inside.

HOwever - How can you be awake all day, snore and not go to the toilet?

Nemoandthefishes · 08/06/2008 22:43

pmsl I dont know byt can I add DH to the list..I have spent the last 5yrs being awake for at least 1hr a night between the 3 dc. DH has recently started to help me with this over the past month as sheer exhaustion has been too much yet all he has done is moan about how tired he is etc[he is helping with 3 out of 7 nights]

DP said "are you sure you dont want a brother for DD?"

With no grandparents and no support? Yes, I'm quite sure ta very much.

I knew he'd be pretty crap, and I wasn't wrong. He is getting way too old for all of this and is doing his damndest to let me know. God I wouldnt mind if he'd at least be open about it, but its all this "I'm tired" nonsense just in case. So transparent.
