WWYD progesterone supplements

To cut a long story short, had a few early miscarriages over the years so went for NHS IVF treatment - was given progesterone suppositories and injections to prepare for the transfer. Transfer was cancelled due to embryo being slow to develop and was told we would have to wait until the new year to await transfer a date. Nothing was said about the progesterone. Just to stop taking it as I guess there would be no point.

I’ve been told that you’re very fertile after ivf stims and we’ve been “trying” this month.

So the question is ….

Would you use the given progesterone supplements after knowing you’ve ovulated to give yourself a good chance of maybe helping a possible pregnancy develop or am I wasting nhs resources on something that might not be?

Personally, I would take it. I’m not a dr or medical person so this is no way advice. But in your shoes I would. In terms of nhs waste - the savings on ivf if this works will outweigh the cost of the progesterone if it doesn’t.
