To think higher end retailers take longer to process online refunds?

I usually shop in M&S, Next, H&M etc.

Recently I had a social event to attend and needed a dress for the occasion. Decided to splash out and ordered a few dresses online, from higher end stores.

Unfortunately I had to return as didn't suit me but trying to get them to return the funds is proving very difficult. One of the retailers definitely has the return but is really dragging their heels and I have now been told I will need to wait a further 14 days (return received 02/11).

The other retailer I am having an issue with trying to obtain confirmation they have the return and they just keep fobbing me off.

Am I being unreasonable to think this is not acceptable or is it the norm for higher end retailers?

I agree. They usually take a couple of weeks

No doubt it's to do with the value of the item. If it's worth a lot they'll have to ensure it's in new condition/unworn and not been swapped with a fake etc. That all takes time.

Hush are buggers for this. Takes what feels like ages.
