Looking to get some second opinions to see if I am being unreasonable or not.
I received mental health support throughout my pregnancy and have been receiving support postpartum.
I struggle with severe anxiety and autism.
I’ve gotten extremely frustrated recently as it has often taken weeks to get a response to texts I have sent to my nurse.
Most recently, she came for a home visit at the end of September after I had sent a text numerous weeks prior asking for a referral for counselling. It took her two weeks to get back to me regarding that text - she told me we would discuss it in person.
When she came for that appointment, she agreed that she would make that referral that day and would keep me updated.
Over a week later, I’d not heard back. I text her asking for an update - again, didn’t hear back.
A further week later, I called the service to be told that no referral had been done. They were not aware of a request for one either.
It is a huge deal for me to actually reach out for help, so I felt completely let down by this. The call handler/receptionist made the referral for me.
A full month later, on 5th November, she text me ‘Hi,
Hope you are well.
I am back to work today. I will come and see you next Thursday at 11 if that's ok with you.’
After querying why I’d waited over a month, she said her FIL passed away.
I’m at a point where I’m fed up. I’ve requested a new nurse to support me.
