Does anyone else do paid surveys?

Thingsaretight · 21/11/2025 10:12

Things have started to suddenly feel very tight, and I’m literally desperate. I’ve been doing those paid market research surveys and making about £15 a day but everyone around me is horrified that I’m basically selling all of my data.

im not particularly arsed, but has anyone else done these and felt that they actually help out?

How on earth are you making 15 per day from this? Someone told me about this once and I signed up, by half the surveys said I wasn't eligible and the other half took forever to get through and the reward was pitiful!

Same here!

I think being honest about my current income & single status (no kids at home) didn't help. (Redundant just before the stroke, currently not well enough to work, live alone).

I think if I signed up to another one I'd need to create a new life (or rather just pretend things were as they were 15 years ago 🤣🤣)

I can't see the harm in telling them which laundry brand I prefer of that I'm vegetarian etc. it's no more then Tesco know about me. I'm not giving them my actual address or bank details e c.

Most are in the evening. There are some national companies on Martyn Lewis website but I googled local research companies and signed up.
I do a lot of financial and investment ones, but its very random.

I will take a look!

I live with my parents and work full time but they’re interested in me!

I do market research via Zoom and its quite lucrative. Got £140 this week for 3 hours work critiquing a financial work and £80 for one on toothpaste.

Which ones are these? Please share

tiv2020 · 21/11/2025 20:54

I have been doing this since feb last year and made approx 2800 EUR so far
It's being drying up for me of late but I also used to be able to make 15 eur on a good day
I actually suggested this the other day to a pretty desperate OP who was considering Onlyfans to better support her 3 young adult children

I am EU based, in addition to those already mentioned in the thread I use
Lifepoints
IpsosIsay
Primeopinion

Also have a look at Nielsen Panel, no surveys at all, they track what you do on your device, i usually make about 100 eur a year from that

Five Surveys is good because you do five to get £5 and they pay out instantly.

https://fivesurveys.com/register?ref=9ee68e08-c1a3-402e-8e00-857aec44da0f - this is my referral link but you can just Google it if you don’t want to use that!

Thanks for the link. I have used it and done s survey. It did go on a bit and apparently I have to complete 5 to redeem £5 😳

BettysRoasties · 21/11/2025 21:04

Ive done some before. Including the Amazon one when you could get £5 for submitting 10 receipts and then to surveys on top. Receipt hog when that was a thing as well.

I was a product tester for the mother and baby’s awards before and got video monitors, bouncers and all sorts.

I now dip in and out if I feel like it.

Thingsaretight · 21/11/2025 21:17

If anyone is interested, I’ve cashed out £4.01 from eureka tonight:

Hey! Use my code TYJ4X9 on Eureka Surveys and unlock a short 80p survey just for signing up! https://eurekasurveys.page.link/vJy5nUDiMQDAmxteA

£3.08 from attapoll

I’m inviting you to join AttaPoll. Get paid to take surveys. Download the app here: https://attapoll.app/join/xqdsj

And £6.28 with qmee, but I can’t refer to that yet.

I just tried that five surveys and completed 2 but on the third one I spent about 10 minutes answering about bloody sweeteners then it screened me out when I clicked ‘finished’. Does it do that often?

ColdTimeOfYear · 21/11/2025 21:43

I dont get on well with qmee, i keep being rejected.
Prolific is interesting for me. But I find some days there are loads of surveys then other days with nothing. It really varies but it will depend on your profile, everyone is different.
Yougov is reliable, you don't get screened out, but i get approx £50 a year so not exactly enough to leave my job!
I save money earned for Christmas treats 😊

totallylostanddontknowwhattodo · 21/11/2025 21:47

I have done some online interviews with user interviews and would recommend them. It’s not an online survey though

Banditbiscuits · 21/11/2025 21:57

I used Money Saving Expert website to see what was recommended as an ideal app/ website before I started using them and have been for over 6 years now. I use Curious Cat, Qmee, Vypr and Swagbucks.

I’ve just tried it tonight two. I have completed 2. About 4 more kicked me out, or froze 🤬

I wouldn’t mind if it kicked you out at the beginning but to answer 10 mins worth and then get kicked out is taking the biscuit

BatchCookBabe · 21/11/2025 22:04

I did start this a while back - maybe 4 years back - but it was so much work and took so much time, for not that much money. I think it's OK if you have virtually nothing else to do, and you've lots fo free time to kill, but otherwise, there are other ways to make more money in shorter spells of time.

I did a few and they went on foreverrrr, and took ages to complete, and I got £3 to £5 for it. Over an hour's work sometimes. Others I started to fill in, and then halfway through - and 35 minutes later - it would ask a question and I'd answer it, and it would say 'sorry you can help us no further on this survey' and shut me down. No money/no pay for the 35 minutes I had spent doing it.

Maybe others have found something different/better, but I tried 3 or 4 different ones, and they weren't for me. Too much of my time for too little reward.

WoahThreeAces · 21/11/2025 17:31

I use the apps which pay you to play games. It's not £15 a day by any stretch but last year it paid for a lot of Christmas presents! I generally use the ones that pay Amazon vouchers. I've currently got about £70 to claim on various apps. That's taken me a couple of months though. It's not an income! But I like playing games and the money is a bonus 😀

I keep getting ads for these, but not sure which ones are genuine. Which ones have actually paid out?

I like playing the goods sorting ones or mah jong to wind down.

BatchCookBabe · 21/11/2025 22:10

Thingsaretight · 21/11/2025 10:17

I just think, if i manage to do £15 a day that’s about £450 a month. I’m keeping track of it all for tax purposes but my family seem to think it’s going to end badly

£450 a month doing surveys?? Good luck with that. You'll need to be at it 20 hours a day/7 days a week to earn a third of that!

Far better to just get a part time job,

Attapoll did that to me all the time, so I gave up on it. Haven't tried five..

Yeah, it got beyond a joke on attapoll.

That happened to me quite a lot. Many times I was 20-35 minutes into a survey, and it would kick me out/close down. Sometimes it would say I can no longer continue to survey after 43 minutes/27 questions... And then it shut down... Very annoying.

For three nights I’ve consistently made £15 a night. I have a full time job. The entire point is to make some extra money of an evening

Ok I’m back to moan about the five surveys site again. Why does it say 7 mins but then you click on it it will say ‘this survey will take around 20 mins’. What a crock of 💩

I cannot believe anyone would make £450 a month doing them. Absolute rubbish.

I’m on track to hit day 3 of near enough £15 a day so
