To feel scared of the world and life in the future?

Very happy upbringing , look back on childhood and my life with happiness.

But now I feel scared of the world now. AI is huge and I’ve seen a video (non conspiracy) by the godfather of AI and how it could destroy humanity.

There’s world unrest and wars at a more major level than when I was a child.

Theres knife crime rising in England, everything just feels a bit scary and blah.

I have children and I’m scared for them.

I wish the internet wasn’t invented and were all present and happy and there was no AI.

Costs are rising, the government (this and the previous ) doesn’t seem to have a hold on anything. A lot of talk but not much actual protecting our country… all feels a bit pointless

Sounds like you had a lovely upbringing where your parents shielded you from all that was happening in the world. And that was easier to do then when we only saw or heard the news a few times a day. Now we have it 24/7 on our phones.
I think you now need to do for yourself what your parents did for you.
Take a break from watching / reading the news, etc. Just focus on your own little world of you and your family. Listen to your favourite music, watch your favourite films, read your favourite books. Cook and bake your favourite foods.
We can't change what's happening in the world, but we can change how we engage with it. If you're struggling, it's ok to choose not to engage at all in the doom and gloom all around us.
I think you'll feel better for it.
