I had one of my two appointments today, it was an ultrasound. There checking my ovaries womb etc as I have irregular intermittent bleeding , painful sex, bleeding after and before etc.
there not allowed to tell me the results but she said my endometrial lining was a bit too thick for my cycle day. Im cycle day 9/0 and my endometrial lining was 9.1 mm . Does anyone have any knowledge of this please? I have googled and usually it’s fine unless it’s hand in hand with symptoms like I’ve got.
Aibu to be going out of my mind😩😩
thank you

I had this and I was very, very worried.

It turned out to be pre cancerous cells. I was given the option of a hysterectomy but, because of various complications, had a coil fitted. I have a hysteroscopy every six months.

I convinced myself I would be dead and buried but here I am. I feel fine and no funeral planned.

It is so hard not to worry but there are a lot of things it can be and it is treatable.

I rang McMillians when I was driving myself crazy and they were very good, so maybe try this.

The very best of luck.

No, Google is not your friend. It often has wrong information or information that you don't fully understand and so you jump to the most terrible explanation.

The waiting is almost unbearable-I couldn't concentrate on anything or sleep but if they need to see you urgently, they will call. You won't be left to linger.

One thing that did help me a bit was when a friend said to me, there are thousands of people with cancer and many of them have no idea they are cooking it but you are one of the ones that are now on the radar, that are being looked after and you might not even have it. It helped a bit and I pass it on in the hope it might help you.

I can't tell you how to get through this waiting time because I didn't do it successfully at all but I can tell you that all was well in the end and I had almost the exact same symptoms as you, including a thickened womb lining.

Mine was pre-cancerous and there was a solution-either a hysterectomy or, in my case, an IUD. Many many women have these options presented to them every day and many of them, including me, are now living life normally. There is no reason to think you won't be one of them because the odds are you will be.

Do ring Macmillian. They don't know your case but they can be reassuring and they are a 1000 times better than Google.

I am thinking of you. This is one of the worst periods of your life. It is ok to be frightened and upset.
