No, Google is not your friend. It often has wrong information or information that you don't fully understand and so you jump to the most terrible explanation.
The waiting is almost unbearable-I couldn't concentrate on anything or sleep but if they need to see you urgently, they will call. You won't be left to linger.
One thing that did help me a bit was when a friend said to me, there are thousands of people with cancer and many of them have no idea they are cooking it but you are one of the ones that are now on the radar, that are being looked after and you might not even have it. It helped a bit and I pass it on in the hope it might help you.
I can't tell you how to get through this waiting time because I didn't do it successfully at all but I can tell you that all was well in the end and I had almost the exact same symptoms as you, including a thickened womb lining.
Mine was pre-cancerous and there was a solution-either a hysterectomy or, in my case, an IUD. Many many women have these options presented to them every day and many of them, including me, are now living life normally. There is no reason to think you won't be one of them because the odds are you will be.
Do ring Macmillian. They don't know your case but they can be reassuring and they are a 1000 times better than Google.
I am thinking of you. This is one of the worst periods of your life. It is ok to be frightened and upset.
