Collaboration is one of the most important things, especially in work and creative spaces but real collaboration feels rare. Too often, people gatekeep, withhold or perform “teamwork” while secretly competing. There’s this unspoken idea that helping someone else shine somehow dims your own light. I don’t believe that. Some of the best things I’ve been part of came from generous, open collaboration - people sharing ideas without ego. But lately, I keep seeing this hyper-individualistic mindset, like everyone’s afraid to share credit or admit they didn’t do it all alone.
AIBU to think collaboration is crucial and the fear of it is holding people back?
