Ella one - help?!

Hello!

According to my period tracker, I ovulated around 6 days before having unprotected sex (condom split) however immediately went to the pharmacy and got Ella one. That was on Thursday, my tracker says my period is due in 6 days, since taking the Ella one I have experienced mild cramping, similar to period cramps so hopefully its a sign my period is actually coming however I'm now worried that because I had ovulated before taking Ella one, it won't be effective... am I right in thinking that? I am feeling a little confused and overwhelmed to be honest x

Ella one works by stopping ovulation, so it doesn’t work if you’ve already ovulated.
But if you ovulated 6 days (or even only 2 days) before having sex, the egg would have been and gone. It doesn’t last 6 days, it only last ~24 hrs max. So if you did ovulate when you think you did, you are not pregnant.

If you're sure you ovulated 6 days before unprotected sex, then you're in the clear.

Pregnancy is only a possibility for about 5 days before ovulation and on the day of ovulation. You can't get pregnant after ovulation, especially after that long.
