What’s the best free calorie counting app?

A lot of the free calorie diary app’s will only allow 2 meals and 1 snack to be entered per day which is a bit useless! Any recommendations for an app that will allow unlimited or even 3 more entries that’s free?

TIA

My fitness pal.

Can add as much food as you like (and can rearrange the meals if that’s not your normal day), link to other fitness apps (mines linked to my Garmin and my app for my scales). There are upgrades but I’ve never paid.

My Fitness Pal.
You can add as many things as you like.
You can even add recipes by adding all the ingredients, saying how many portions it makes, and it calculates the calories of that meal for you.

Do not add exercise though, it gives you those extra (overestimated) calories back to eat.

It helped me lose over 4 stone, and I’ve kept it off for 5+ years now thanks to tracking on MFP.

As well as My Fitness Pal, check out Chronometer. It has a free barcode scanner which I believe MFP no longer offers for free.

I like a weekly list with pen and paper. Once in the swing of it, you get a feel for how many calories something contains.

Kind of like driving with sat nav versus learning your way around.
