The essence vault - has anyone bought anything that’s remotely like the original?

Aibu in thinking that The Essence Vault is just a con?

I bought a perfume after I kept seeing the advertisements. It smelt absolutely nothing like the original, but I thought ok, it smells ok. It dries to smell really cheap and harsh.

I ordered a few more samples they all smell like air freshener.

Has anyone ever found anything that actually smells nice and like a good dupe?

Their advertising is very convincing.

Yes I bought no 15 which is like Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede. Doesn’t last as long but the scent is identical.

I bought 939 - not a bad dupe at all for Maison Margiela’s By the Fireplace. And since I bought it on eBay it was also one tenth of the price. If it means I have to squirt it a little more often, I can live with that…

I bought a JoLoves Mango Thai Lime dupe and thought it was similar.

I’ve got a JPG and it’s lovely. People have asked me what it is. Also stronger than the original

The alien dupe smells identical.
One of the dupes gave me a blinding headache though - I think it was a lancome one and I've not used them since.

I bought from them just last week. CK Eternity - just like the real thing and lasts all day likewise JPG Scandal. However JPG Classique was nothing like it so I have sent it back, smelt like air freshner. I was disappointed as they wanted to charge me to return the parcel back to NI so I emailed them and said not acceptable as item not fit for purpose - they sent me a free returns label then. I have ordered Coco mademoiselle instead. I honestly cannot afford nor want to spend £££ on perfume so for me this is a really good option.

Was it the Classique? I have just sent mine back as it smells nothing like it. I wonder if I had a faulty batch as the reviews are good and it is my favourite perfume ever.

@Thestormwillpass123 yes in essence vault it’s number 14. I also liked their baccarat rouge completely different kind of scent very in your face but I’ve not smelt the original so can’t say if it’s a true match

I tried a few as nd found them rank - simple and cheap. I wear some quite cheap perfumes so am no price snob but they were just nasty. I was trying to get dupes for quite big powder scents - imagine they are harder than Jo maline style ones to copy.

i tried Saltworks sample set too and they were without exception horrid.
