Husband with possible concussion but won’t be seen

Husband went to football last night, apparently him and another guy ran in to each other and my husband got hit in the head by his temple. He says he’s had a headache ever since and it’s bad enough that he’s struggling to concentrate. He’s also felt nauseous since.
I’m trying to persuade him to go and get checked or at least ring 111 but he’s adamant he doesn’t want to.
Is there anything I need to watch out for?

Excessive drowsiness x he will need keeping an eye on for at least 24 hours. If anything changes emergency service straight away x

Ok thanks. We’re almost at 24 hours since it happened so I presume when we get to then we don’t need to worry as much?

@usermomma1 I would keep a close eye on him for a couple of days. My son had concussion once but symptoms didn't show up till 36 hours after the incident 😵‍💫

There’s information on the NHS website that is quite helpful about this.

If the headache goes away with paracetamol it’s fine.

Ask him for a copy of his life insurance and remind him you didn't sign up to be a widower out of stubborness.

Tell him that people with suspected concussion don't get to make their own choices and ring 111 anyway.

His selfishness is staggering and should only be forgiven if he is actually too injured to think straight.
