I think OP is talking about a TV show. I can relate as watching Bing used to give me the absolutely rage.

My dad used to hate reading Topsy and Tim to me. He used to change the story because he was so fed up with it. So instead of going to the seaside, they would be going to outer space or whatever. I used to get very annoyed. I did understand though when I started having to my DCs.

But I will tell you one thing, OP, Milly Molly Mandy is even worse. Avoid avoid avoid.

I loved getting topsy n tim books from the mobile library in the 70s.

I loved Milly Molly Mandy as a child and little friend Susan they made ordinary things like eating a baked potato seem so exciting!

I loved MMM as did my DDs. Mum and Dad refused to read it to me and I really hated reading it to my daughters too.
