It really is. It’s really scrappy and loud. He’s very popular and lots of the people who are rehoming them have said they want him/her.

Haven’t tried looking at the sex yet.

To those saying that you shouldn’t breed or or buy kittens, perhaps if rescues were less draconian in who they allowed to adopt and feed were lower they would get homes for them. Rescues are so funny about children and pets, people who want pets have no choice but look privately and not everyone wants older animals

well said!

Is mum still doing well?

Yes - she seems to be. Eating and drinking well, feeding the kits a lot, very protective.

Tuesday Floof - they are getting really active and strong. My husband has become very attached to Scrump (the naughtiest one in the first pic) and is going to find it hard to let him go 🙈

Pretty floof, love the one with the white splodge on it's head

Oh my, how will you ever be able to part with them?!

The chances of him getting a new home is rapidly diminishing with each squeak as DH cuddles him.

I am guessing that a house with 7 cats (we had our queen and her brother originally) will become significantly more hectic once they reach 4/5 weeks and therefore may be relieved when they do go!

So you thought it was really impressive breeding your non purebred domestic cat to another non purebred domestic cat and then having the homes prearranged? Because you what love your cat and wanted her to have one litter?

other posters are right.. there is nothing magical or positive about this?! I bet you had no health or DNA tests done for mum or dad and I bet you aren’t gifting these little “miracles” sorry I mean moggies to their new keepers I bet you are selling them.. which means a nice hefty little increase near Christmas time.

Protectivemummy2025 · 18/11/2025 21:35

Also to add if you are UK based, the law for microchipping cats came in place in 2023 so you as the breeder should really be responsible and have the cats microchipped before rehoming to new keepers.

The new keepers may not bother and then there will be more cats not microchipped and out there in the world.. waiting to be trapped, neutered and chipped and handed into a rescue.

Just a tiny hint for you because I bet you didn’t read this beforehand but the law says it has to be done by the time the kittens are 20 weeks old! I imagine you would not want to be sending kittens into the world without being responsible for them and making sure they are protected as the breeder so I assume you will be organising this?

So full of assumptions. All inaccurate.

I see you did not answer the rest of my questions which shows exactly what type of backyard breeder you are?!

Your vet openly encouraged breeding without any research into the health and lineage of the cats.. god please tell me the name as I hope I have never have to come across their services or their practice.

My assumptions are based correctly by the looks of it?! Did you have a health test mum and dad.. no! Did you so desperately need a litter from your cat… no!

The microchipping law.. did you know about this being the LAW!!! and are you going to be a responsible breeder of these cats and have them microchipped.. probably not because you will assume the new keepers will organise it.

you have now become one of the reason rescues have so many kittens and cats in their care.. so well done you backyard breeder.. well done.

Yes I think you're right! When we had our kittens, I seemed to spend most of my time lifting them down from curtains by the time they got five or six weeks old 😂 But even though two of them went together to a friend and my mum had one, I still really missed them when they left. We kept the runt of the litter, who lived to be 22.

Protectivemummy2025 · 18/11/2025 21:50

My comprehensive skills?! You don’t like what you are being told which is why you are unable to answer my questions.

I am asking these questions as someone who works in the microchipping of animals industry and can see from records spanning across multiples databases how many cats are out there either unregistered or have out of date details.

I know how many calls I take from people whose cats are missing and also how many chips are registered to rescue accounts and how many are registered to stray accounts which are from cats who have been trapped, neutered and microchipped but the rescues are unable to keep them in rescues because they are feral and can’t be rehomed so all they can do is release them again but at least they are registered.
