Vinted issue - help!

I sent my parcel on Saturday via InPost lockers, where you just scan the code, no address label on it. It’s been received today and it’s a totally different item 😱 - they must have been switched in the locker. What on earth can I do?

The buyer has to raise an issue. Very annoying but it does happen from time to time. I received a random pair of jeans instead of the swimsuit I ordered. I initially assumed sender had messed up, but she had no jeans for sale, it was InPost cock up. I got my money back and kept/sold the random jeans. I assume the sender was compensated for her missing swimsuit.

I think the seller tends to miss out here. I’ve called InPost - they said Vinted have to raise it. So I’ve emailed them. I feel bad for my buyer, she got an ASOS return instead

The buyer needs to raise a case. You as the seller can’t do it. Have they not done one?

If InPost made a mistake, then as far as I’m aware you won’t loose out. You will keep the money and the buyer will also be refunded.

I once had a random child’s backpack turn up at my house from Vinted/Inpost. I hadn’t even bought anything so couldn’t contact the seller.

Yes the buyer has raised a case but it seems to be me who has to suggest a resolution?

It shouldn’t be down to you, does it say vinted are looking into it? If so I’d ignore the resolution part (this is probably a stock message they send out while looking into it) and wait for them to properly get back to you. You should both get refunded for it.
