Their website is like the Place That Drives You Mad on Asterix and the Ten Tasks. Impossible to navigate. They have no email. You have to write - from NZ- a couple of weeks to get there, or sit on the phone for hours, fruitlessly and expensively. What on earth is wrong with them that they can be so primitive? I just read their reviews and they are as low as they can be. So I know it's not just me. FFS, I'm spending a week's pension on phone bills waiting for them to answer while listening to soothing meaningless words and vile noise that masquerades as music. They announce that they will tolerate no verbal violence and reserve the right to terminate the call without notice. Just venting really...or am I being unreasonable?

Sunk-cost fallacy is a real thing. I terminated the call without notice. That was half a week' s groceries. They are utterly impossible. As with all bureaucracy, they believe they have you by the short and curlies...and they do, bastards.

Do you have an online account with them? You can send them secure messages via that route. Teachers I deal with tend to have a better response that way, than over the phone. The bonus being that you have anything they tell you in writing. You can register for the account on the website home page (click on log in and the option is there). May not be of any use to you, but worth a try?

Thanks so much for your kind assistance. Reading the reviews in full is beyond shocking. I have never seen such a public reveal of incompetence and rudeness. How can these people live with themselves, treating people with such disdain as if it's THEIR money they are generously doling out and not the teachers' own life-long savings. Disgraceful.

They are hideous! I sent a message to them last July ( 2024) and received a reply a couple of weeks ago!!! WTAF!
I have had to ask them something else recently, no reply as of yet! What are they doing?!

Worst of all they miscalculated my pension and it took nearly 9 months for them to correct their error, which they only did when forced to. I’m an accountant and I feel sick for all the other people they have swindled over the years who never realised what had happened.

Thanks everyone. It's difficult to believe that this can happen in this day and age, with every modern technological aid and so many efficient means of communication. Peanuts and monkeys, perhaps?
