Vinted issue: AIBU

Hello duckies.
I’ve sold an item on Vinted today for close to the asking price. However, I have since seen that the buyer has form for cancelling purchases.
I know that Vinted would probably compensate me for any issues but it concerns me that the buyer could get potentially compensated plus keep the item to sell on.
I have not yet sent the item. What do you think I should do?
Thanks in advance.

You can cancel the sale, if you’d prefer that?

Knockonw00d · 09/11/2025 22:39

If you send before they cancel it and they receive it they’d have to send it back at a cost to themselves. Once you’ve sent it it should be ok.

Knockonw00d · 09/11/2025 22:39

If you cancel it though you’ll get bad feedback, if you’re happy to do that

Thank you for the swift replies.
I’d rather not have the bad feedback but something feels “off” about this.
200+ sales with minimal issues and this is my priciest sale to date.
I’m leaning towards cancelling. Just need a bit of validation, I suppose.

Ÿou can cancel and select reason other and write something in the box like 'sorry can't find item' it doesn't allow bad feedback to be left tgen the sale is just cancelled x
