I’m talking about the type of manager who loves buzzwords, performative check-ins and acting like they’re leading with “vision” but in reality, they avoid real decisions, shift blame and don’t actually support the team. Everything’s about how they look as a leader, not how they act as one. They micromanage the wrong things, disappear when it matters and then resurface with a LinkedIn post about “empowering others.”
AIBU to think that leadership shouldn’t be a performance?
