Why does a thread never reappear?

I know this is a thread about threads but there's no other way of writing it. How come when a thread is deleted to be looked at it never ever reappears? I find this highly annoying especially when you want to find out the conclusion.

Usually because it's a troll, I'd imagine.

One just did! The dad who kicked out at and hurt his three year old son. That was gone and then it was back.

I have definitely seen threads reappear after that message.

Hence the ones that don't reappear must be threads that aren't genuine/trolls or whatever so are completely deleted.
