Please tell me I’m not the only one obsessed with these cheesy online romcom movies?

I barely use social media these days, but a few months ago I clicked on a few Facebook and Instagram ads for CandyJar/Reelshort etc and I am now bloody hooked on these short movies!

I am a 40 year old, happily married, mother of 3 in a senior management position and I’m obsessed with watching these movies, particularly the teen style ones where the nerdy girl is in love with her big brothers best friends and they end up having a “forbidden love story”

Maybe it’s because I wasn’t exactly the most popular girl in high school and I used to love sleepovers watching 10 things I hate about you and Never been Kissed etc and I feel like I’m reliving it.

I should add that I have other hobbies, read regularly and watch the odd series with DH but I feel joy from these guilty pleasure movies and quite frankly fancy some of the actors.

Anyone else? 😂

My current one is the dar Mann reels on Facebook, they are so cheesey the acting is over the top always about helping each other out and the bully, villain always gets their comeuppance

Haven't seen those but I'm currently getting teary eyed over Aldi's Kevin the Carrots proposal christmas ad🤣🤣Disclaimer - I am a 90's baby, and currently 16 weeks pregnant so it may be hormones 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday I watched The Tutor Trap where the high school geek agrees to tutor the hot hockey player and low and behold once she removes her glasses and pulls her ponytail out she looks like a model and they fall in love (total She’s all that vibes”)

Today I’ve watched Victory Formation where the hot college phd student has friends with benefits situation with her brother womanising best friend which unbelievably ends with them falling in love - I bloody love them

It's no worse than my current obsession with Little House On The Prairie 😳
