GP 6 months ago prescribed me Qlaira at 44, I requested repeat prescription today and she refused saying its not for over 35's?? But she prescribed it to me 6 months ago? Is anyone on this at 44 or older? I'm not a smokers, overweight or history of blood clots.....

YABU-you should change to progesterone only
YANBU- If not suitable for over 35 why did she prescribe to me at 44? 🤷‍♀️

I think that's incorrect because it's now offered to women in their early-mid 40s as an alternative to HRT.

You can probably find out the answer by using google as there will be information on it for the prescriber.

Yes I thought that too actually. She is the type that wouldn't like you quoting facts to her! But I think advice has changed...a quick Google search is saying combined contraceptive now suitable to 50 provided no risk factors
