Not necessarily physically but have you ever been in a situation where more than one man was clearly competing for your attention or affection? Was it flattering? Awkward? A total mess? And how did you handle it?

AIBU to think it’s not just a movie trope, it actually happens more than people admit?

I've found that relationships are like buses, none for ages, the two turn up at once!

To be honest, I've just enjoyed it for what it is, flattery and attention are a great part of casual dating - I haven't lost any sleep over it.

I think knowing from each prospective partner, as well as yourself, what constitutes a serious more committed relationship and honouring that is the thing to focus on.

No - anyone, male or female, fighting over anyone, is just pathetic. 🙄

Many years ago...
I had 2 men have a heated argument over the road holding qualities of a Vauxhall Astra that wasn't really about cars.

Happened to me in a, way. I met my dh when I was working in a local pub and was keen straightaway. I didn't talk to him that first night but another guy approached me, really forward and pushy and insisted on walking me home. Nothing happened as I wasn't attracted to him whatsoever, he wasn't a nice person and I just wasn't interested although I was civil. II got chatting to my husband to be at my next shift. He had thought the pushy guy was my bf but I explained the situation. We began going out together that night. When pushy guy realised he wanted to fight my dh! My husband just ignored him but the other guy had to be held back and was eventually dragged out of the pub by his mates.

Once. I was 16. At a local Christmas disco. I was dancing with a boy I'd only just met. A boy from the class above me came over and thumped him.

I wasn't going out with either of them. Or anyone else. It was my first experience of weird, controlling jealous men.

I ran a mile. 😁

I did, it was amazing. They crashed through a restaurant window and we had a whole audience. Hang on and I'll get my diary so I can remember the rest.

We've been married for 26 years, together for 28.

This is an amazing throwback post. 😁 I imagine meeting and 'going out with' a bloke in the space of two days without 15 stages of 'talk to, seeing, being exclusive' etc would blow the minds of anyone under 30 😁

Yes, when I was 30. Two friends (or frenemies really - they would bitch about each other to me). Met them while on holiday in Portugal.

Very briefly dated one. Kept in touch with the other one on and off for a few years.

Both turned out to be COMPLETE bellends.
