When i’m 80, this is where i’ll go to in my dreams

Has anyone seen these posts on Instagram? Usually a video/picture of a mum holding her baby or breastfeeding etc. Realise some people may think it’s cheesy or twee and so on, but i’ma bit of a sucker for these types of posts as i’m very sentimental.

I think my dreams would either be:

-When Dd was very young, holding her or playing.

-Walking in the woods with Dh, Dd & Ddog

-Swimming in the sea at sunset with Dh & Dd

-As a child with my parents, grandparents and siblings, all sat together around the tv

Where do you think you’ll go to in your dreams when you’re 80?

Oh this has just reminded of my of my grandma who recently died.

She used to sleep a lot during her final year and really live life through her dreams, all her family back together. She used to talk about her mum a lot and the happiest family times. I miss her.

I will dream about the beaches I've been to, the people I've met and lost touch with. My children as babies and toddlers and their voices and the silly phrases, the games we used to play and the songs we used to sing. My mum stroking my hair, my dad happily teaching me to drive and my husband massaging my feet and listening to music together.

I'll be very surprised if I live that long.

Hopefully of the next day when I'll have all my adult children, their lovely partners, my grandchildren and even some great grandchildren round me.
I'll be sitting in the sun, in my garden, thinking ive got good years behind me, some more still to come, but the most precious time is, as it always was, right there and then.
