Has anyone been bullied for having a teen mum?

Has anyone been bullied because their mother was in her mid teens when they were born? In a class of 30 are there likely to be many others with mums that young?

It is rare that a teen Mum is a teen when the child goes to school (a 16 year old would typically be 20 by the time their child goes to school) and small kids think even older teenagers are old so by the time the kids get old enough to realise everyone is an adult.

There would definitely have been more teen Mums in my day but to us kids they were old.

I know you don’t want to hear this but to your child’s peer you are old just like the rest of us oldies.

I mean more older primary than younger primary kids, my brother got picked on because our mum was older when she had him. Some kid my dc made friends with at the park said I look 12, I’m sure my height probably plays a part in that though

I did some work experience at a primary school when I was 16. I was waiting (with the teacher) for the parents at pick up. A couple of the children were left and starting to look a bit fed up, so I said "I'm waiting for my mummy too" (I was waiting for a lift).. they looked at me in utter disbelief (I was a very young looking 16 year old) and said "but you are a mummy" .. small children have no concept of age and by the time they do a teen Mum would be in their 20s at least.

Must of been a while ago if they’re grandparents now which surprises me you knew so few I was led to believe everyone settled down young back in the day

Depends what you mean by "back in the day"
Average age for a woman when she has her first baby is now 29. The lowest ever average was 20 in 1970. There must have been a fair few teenage mums to bring the mean down that low. But it had been higher in previous years. I suspect that early 20s has always been more likely than late teens.
